For this project we redesigned the interior of a 3 bedroom apartment, transforming it into a tranquil home where the owners can experience a constant sea-breeze and the rhythmic change in daylight.

How do you transform a generic condominium into a home filled with light, warmth and character?

For the Apartment by the Sea, we started by introducing an elegant sliding wooden screen that stretches across the main living room. It immediately transforms the character of the space with its presence. The screen also protects the owners’ privacy, yet allows them to enjoy the sunset and the sea breeze. The interior space begins to feel like an extension of the outdoors.

The kitchen and bathrooms were completely remodelled. We selected a palette of materials—light hued wood, raw concrete and blue artisan tiles—and applied it throughout the apartment to imbue it with a soft and natural ambience. The existing marble floors and wooden accents in the house were refinished to match the tones introduced. Custom furniture was designed to complement the owners’ existing pieces. A collection of plants, paintings and ornaments adorn the apartment, accentuating its unique character.
